Press Release Body: The Movistar Kiteboarding World Cup 2007 is on its 5th day of
competition. The weather was bright and clear but the 15° Celsius temperature still
provided the chill in the air. By 11:30am, only light air breezed through the
competition area which prompted the race director to immediately announce game
postponement. By 13:00h, the Freestyle competitors were released for the day since
the weather outlook did not look promising but the Wave competitors were put to
stand by. Although the wind did eventually pick up speed to 11-15 knots by 14:00h,
it was not enough nor ideal for the Wave competition. By 16:00h, a heavy fog moved
into the area and that prompted race director Eric Troostheide to call off the
competition for the day at 16:30h.

However, Mallory De La Villemarque (North, France) and Kevin Langeree (Naish,
Netherlands) took the opportunity to get some tow in surfing lessons using a jet ski
and caught quite a few nice waves in the process.

Tomorrow's weather outlook (particularly the wind forecast) does not look promising
either so there is a possibility that the event organizer will arrange a bus to take
the competitors to Chile's capital, Santiago, to surf an artificial wave pool in the
mall and for some sight-seeing tour of the city proper. As a result, the mandatory
skippers' meeting for tomorrow will be held at 10:00am to decide if and when,
weather permitting, the bus will be arranged to Santiago.

So it's exactly three more days before the conclusion of this year's world tour and
everyone is anticipating the final result of the men's Freestyle double to know who
will be crowned this year's world champion. With only a few points separating
reigning world champ Aaron Hadlow (Flexifoil, UK) from challenger Kevin Langeree,
the last three days will prove to be both exciting and fun to watch as both these
riders will surely be giving all their best to win the much coveted title. After 170
grueling days of extreme kiteboarding action, it all comes down to the final three
days of competition. Stay tuned and don't miss the action. Make sure to logon to
www.extremeelements.com for the competition results which will updated nightly (GMT
-04:00) instead of the usual live update due to the remoteness of the competition
area. Current world ranking points are posted at www.kiteworldtour.com.
